5 Ways to Take Your Creativity to the Next
Level
The connection between a thriving spirit and creativity is strong, but sometimes it can seem as if you are stuck, blocked, and unable to reach your full potential in art, relationships, business, or even prayer.
Here are five suggestions to try to take your creativity to the next level – and beyond!
Dare to Be You!
Dare to be you! Often, we try very hard to model our work or ourselves after someone whose work or life we admire. But if we do that too much, we stifle the very essence of who we are as individuals – and who we could be is we unleashed our own, very special, creativity. Know what makes you uniquely you – and feel free to put your own identity to creative use!
Face Your Fear
Face your fear. If fear is holding you back, don’t run – stand up to it! Whether you fear writing in a new genre or applying for a promotion at work, saying “yes” to the opportunity and “no” to fear can open a door to a brilliant new endeavor.
Run Away from the Herd
Run away from the herd. If your work seems like the same thing over again, shake up your routine and rearrange your thoughts into something completely different. In this world of opposites, discover new elements that can spark exciting developments in work and life.
Move!
Move! Take your characters on a shopping trip, or your prayer life to a park. Learn a new sport, and discover life lessons in play. Take your creativity on the road, and tank up on new and far-reaching ideas.
Remember
Remember. What sparked your early yearning to paint? Make music? Manage a business? Serve people? Look back on your life to reconnect with the child that dreamed, the youth that dared. God gave you that spirit, and it is still inside of you, it is you. Revived and determined, you and your creativity can soar!
