South Korean actress Jeon Mi Sun has died, it has been confirmed. The movie star’s talent agency have since revealed that she had been receiving ‘treatment for depression’. The 50-year-old was reportedly found dead in a hotel room in Jeonju, North Jeolla province on 29 June. According to Soompi, a North Jeolla fire department source said: ‘It was around 11:43 a.m. KST when we received the call and were dispatched.’ Sun was found to be unresponsive when the paramedics arrived. The fire department source claims the case has now been handed over to the police. Sun’s management agency Boas Entertainment later confirmed the sad news in a statement, which said: ‘Hello, this is Jeon Mi Sun’s agency Boas Entertainment. ‘We come with bad news. Actress Jeon Mi Sun has passed away at the age of 50 (by Korean reckoning).
‘She has been receiving treatment for depression. The actress also landed a leading role in 2005’s Love Is A Crazy Thing and had won five awards, including the excellence award, actress in film at the Korean Culture and Entertainment Awards in 2013 for her role in Hide and Seek. Sun was reportedly married to Park Sang-hoon.
