AN amateur football team who are sponsored by a sausage company are tipped to win the ‘worst kit of the season award’.
Bedale AFC are cooking up a storm with their sausage-themed bright pink and orange away strip.
The North Yorkshire team is backed by Heck sausages, which has a new factory in nearby Sinderby.

Club chairman Martyn Coombs admits when the company’s marketing team came up with the design for their kit they were a bit taken aback.
But it’s won acclaim from football websites including Who Ate All The Pies and the UK Soccer Shop — which put them as favourite to win the ‘worst kit of the season’ award.
Mr Coombs added: ‘The players, perhaps understandably, were apprehensive, but now the first and second team fight over who is going to wear it.’
