Kim Jong-un has said North Korea’s first successful test of an intercontinental ballistic missile was a ‘gift for American bastards on July 4’.
The dictator made the statement after the launch was confirmed by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who called it a ‘new escalation of a threat to the world’.
Donald Trump was also quick to respond to news of the missile, taking to Twitter to ask: ‘Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?’
He added: ‘Hard to believe that South Korea and Japan will put up with this much longer. Perhaps China will put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!’
North Korea’s Academy Of Defence Science claimed the test was ‘final step’ in creating a ‘confident and powerful nuclear state that can strike anywhere on Earth’.
