Octopus Escapes from Tank

A giant octopus made a desperate dash for freedom when it got loose from its tank at an aquarium.
The red sea creature, which weighs around 26 lbs, can be seen slithering across the floor trying to move after it escaped.
The bizarre incident took place in the city of Vladivostok in south-eastern Russia and was caught on camera, with the footage since being released online.

The octopus reportedly pushed open the lock on the net above its enclosure.

Because the creature has no bones it was able to squeeze itself through the small hole and escape the aquarium.
Workers at the centre say the octopus was not injured in the incident because the animal can survive for minutes at a time without water.
A group of divers managed to get the octopus back and return it to its rightful home.
Online commentators lined up to pass judgement on the incident.
One viewer said: 'Well done, it deserves respect. It got too dark in between four walls for this free-spirited creature. I think he needs to go back to the ocean.'
While another commenter added: 'Shame on the employees. They should have taken a better care of it.'
