The man was spotted hanging upside-down from a school fence after his trousers got caught on a spike during an 'attempted break-in' at a school in Tucson,Arizona.
This is the moment an alleged burglar was caught - literally - with his 'pants down'.
The man was spotted hanging upside-down from a school fence after his trousers got caught on a spike during an 'attempted break-in'.
The photograph was taken by a locksmith who claims he witnessed the unidentified man trying to force his way into classrooms at Miles Elementary School in Tuscan, Arizona.
He said the alleged burglar attempted to 'flee the scene of the crime' by jumping over the wrought iron fence surrounding the school - which is when his baggy trousers got snagged on a spike.
Embarrassingly for the 'would-be-thief' not only was he unable to make a clean getaway - but the world was able to see his underwear.
Local news outlet ABC 15 Arizona reports that a passerby called Jesse Sensibar watched the whole incident unfold - and snapped the photo of the man dangling helpless.
He posted the photo on Facebook on Friday saying: "One more reason not to jump fences in baggy pants.
"I saw this homie hanging around at the Miles School this morning when I was rolling eastbound on Broadway Avenue.
"I was going to help him off the fence but by the time I got back around the block the cops were rolling up two cars deep.
"I don't know what his story was but it must not have been good enough, fifteen minutes later when I went back by the other direction going home he was cuffed up in the backseat.
The picture has had almost 400 shares and 400+ likes so far.
There is no comment so far from either the police or the school involved in the alleged break-in - which has 390 pupils.
