Behold, a million-dollar vibrator!

Behold, a million-dollar vibrator

At a cost of $1 million, the Pearl Royale vibrator is a pricey way to get off. And that’s the point, says Colin Burn, an Australian jeweler.
“My inspiration was to create something that shows the value people place on sex,” he tells The Post. “[People] spend lots of money for the experiences of owning Maseratis and the like. But would they pay for this?”
Burn has been working on this high-end sex toy — and raising funds for its creation — for 15 years now. He’s made other pricey tools of seduction in the meantime, including a gold egg-shaped vibrator that goes for $25,000, a white-gold dildo that goes for $38,000 and a gold-handled whip made of human hair that goes for $19,000 (all of which have found buyers). But none tops the Pearl Royale, which was named to evoke “a very royal experience,” he says.
It does look a bit like a scepter.
The vibe, Burn says, is “weighty” — weighing about a pound — and runs on two hand-engineered motors. Its platinum body is covered with 2,000 diamonds, some royal-blue sapphires and “very rare” pink diamonds, all provided by Russian diamond merchants who are backing the product. (Don’t worry, you can’t get cut on the gems. “They’re flush-set,” Burn says.) The lucky user twists a platinum key to get it started.
Burn is currently on a trip through Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami and New York, looking for gallery owners willing to display his $1 million offering along with other items from his collection. If he finds a gallery space, he knows what he’d call the show: “Olisbos,” or Greek for “dildo.”
According to Burn, there is preliminary interest from Russian jewelers and members of the hip-hop community.
While he promises that the Pearl Royale will deliver “a million-dollar orgasm,” he acknowledges that it has yet to be road-tested.
“The prototype has been tried and it works exceptionally well,” he says. “The real one is in a vault. We don’t want to soil it.”
