Flight attendant dies day after falling out of plane while preparing for boarding.

A woman has died after falling from a plane’s emergency exit before passengers started boarding.
The woman died a day after the incident on an Emirates Boeing 777 at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.



She was on flight EK729 preparing to return to Dubai at 3.25pm on Wednesday. Witnesses are reported to have seen her holding a glass bottle under her chin, sparking theories that her death was suicide. A witness told the Daily Monitor ‘Her knees were shattered and her body cut with broken glass from the bottle she jumped with.’ A spokesman for Emirates said: ‘A member of our cabin crew unfortunately fell off from an open door while preparing the aircraft for boarding on flight EK 729. ‘The injured crew member was brought to the nearest hospital’. We are providing all possible support and care for the affected crew, and will extend our full co-operation to the authorities in their investigation.’ The Civil Aviation Authority said: ‘A female member of the cabin crew appeared to have opened the emergency door and unfortunately fell off an Emirates aircraft that had safely landed and parked.’
