A sneaky toddler was caught on camera stealing Prince Harry’s popcorn. Young Emily Henson, who was sitting next to Prince Harry at the Invictus Games, waited until the royal wasn’t looking to nab his snack.
Thankfully, Prince Harry decided against throwing her in the Tower of London and instead pulled faces at the youngster. The 33-year-old allowed Emily to share his tub of popcorn, entertaining the toddler with a laugh and a joke as they watched a volleyball match.
The prince was seated alongside Emily’s mother Hayley Henson in the stands for the UK v Denmark match at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Emily, the daughter of former Invictus athlete David Henson, who had both his legs blown off by an IED in Afghanistan in 2011, seemed enthralled by the prince’s company. The amusing encounter with Emily comes just days after Harry and his actress girlfriend Meghan Markle were pictured walking hand-in-hand for their first official public appearance together.
The prince has previously spoken of his desire to have children one day. In an interview with Good Morning America last year he said he hoped he was a ‘fun uncle’ to Prince George and Princess Charlotte and said he ‘can’t wait for the day’ he has children of his own. Prince Harry is set to welcome another niece or nephew next year following the announcement of the Duchess of Cambridge’s pregnancy.
