This is the dramatic moment a BMW driver had to be rescued from a river after his sat nav led him straight into the water.
The unidentified man was the centre of a rescue mission after he blindly followed the instructions and became trapped in Glasfryn ford in Carmarthen, South Wales.
Fortunately a swift rescue team managed to pull the man from his car but police are now warning drivers about the dangers of following a sat nav when approaching water.
Carmarthen Police tweeted: “A lucky escape for the driver of this vehicle. When approaching a ford please remember that your SatNav does not highlight the danger.”
A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: ”We received a call at 3.22pm.
“A rescue team from Carmarthen managed to rescue a male from a vehicle that had become stranded in the water.
“We’ve had a number of calls to this particular area in the past.”
Members of the crews moved the vehicle to safety.
In November a Mercedes Sprinter van became engulfed by rising flood water in the same place.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service added: “We’ve had a number of calls to this particular area in the past.”
